The Happiest Planner

Ask the planner

Tell the planner about your trip in plain words. It fills in the steps; every number comes from published data, not the chat.

What is real and what is not

  • Published means a price range or rating taken from a named source on a stated date.
  • Estimate means The Happiest Planner did arithmetic on published figures with assumptions you can change.
  • Yours means you typed it. A quote from Disney's checkout always beats anything here.

Overview

Work top to bottom. Each step feeds the budget.

    Step 1

    Dates and party

    Everything else prices off this.

Ticket pricing data covers October 11, 2026 through October 10, 2027. Children under 3 do not need a park ticket.

    Step 2

    Tickets and park days

Pick a park for each day. One-day prices come from a RopeDrop capture of Disney's calendar on October 11, 2026, plus 6.5% tax. Two-day and Park Hopper quotes are not collected yet.

    Step 3

    Resort

98 resort products. Published planning rates exist for 32 of them (one room, two adults, room only). The rest need a quote you paste in.

    Step 4

    Dining

385 locations with guest approval and published price guides. Price a meal, save it to the plan.

    Step 5

    Lightning Lane and wait times

The part everyone dreads, decided per park day: whether to buy, what it saves, and what the waits look like without it. Transportation and extras are below.

    Lightning Lane in one minute

    Multi Pass

Book three timed return windows at once; each time you use one, book another. Covers most rides. The one most families buy. Price changes by park and date.

    Single Pass

One ride only: the newest headliner in each park (TRON, Guardians, Rise of the Resistance, Flight of Passage, Seven Dwarfs). Sold on its own.

    Premier Pass

Walk on once to every included ride with no return times. Priced like a second park ticket. For a one-day, see-everything visit.

When to buy: Disney resort guests at 7 am ET, 7 days before the first park day, for the whole stay. Everyone else, 3 days ahead. Your booking windows are on the Overview page with a calendar button. Prices below are per person before 6.5% tax, from a 2026 sample; Disney sets the exact figure daily.

    Your park days

Prices are estimated for your exact dates from posted Lightning Lane prices on the same days in prior years (daily history from April 2026 and the 2024 holiday season), escalated by the increase we have observed. When no posted price exists for a date yet, the estimate follows the seasonal pattern and says so. Crowd level changes the expected waits, not the price.

    Airport transfer

    Parking and rides around Disney

Standard theme park parking is $35 per day and included for registered Disney hotel guests. Disney buses, monorail, Skyliner and boats are free.

    Flights, souvenirs, extras

    Day by day

    Park day timelines

An hour-by-hour plan for each park day: rope drop the big ride, walk the least, eat where you saved, rest when the little ones need it. Change a setting and the day rebuilds.

    Step 6

    Trip budget

Every line is labeled published, estimate or yours.

    The output

    Your trip guide

Everything you entered, assembled into one document: the budget, booking windows, each park day hour by hour, the Lightning Lane plan, your meals and the packing list. Print it, save it as a PDF, or keep it open on your phone in the park.

    Step 7

    Packing list

A few quick questions, then the weather for your dates, then a list built for your trip. Check things off as you pack; it saves in this browser.

    Live wait times

Posted stand-by waits and Lightning Lane status, refreshed every five minutes while you are in the park.
